I live with my husband and our dog and we spend our time reading, watching, listening, gaming and trashing toy ducks and crocodiles (or at least one of us does). We discuss life, the universe and everything,1 with frequent references to our favourite fantasy series, usually at midnight. Our dog, who has discovered the truth that mornings are not nearly as exciting as sleeping in, still demands some peace and quiet after midnight and interrupts our ramblings with frequent, heavy sighs.
I love books, paper and pencils and there are shelves and stacks on the floor devoted to these items. I love listening to music, and I am fond of cooking, plants and bushwalks, but to be be fair, I’m usually quite content with the armchair variety of gardening, cooking and travelling. I’m a procrastinator, a perfectionist and a hopeless shipper.2 I revel in the small moments and I’m fascinated by the connections between these.
Most of all I love stories.

1. A reference to the ultimate question posed by characters in Douglas Adam's A Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. 2. A term derived from 'relationship', meaning that one frequently engages in hoping for a romantic relationship to develop between two characters (or people). It works for any fiction, but is particularly associated with fan fiction. In my case it often happens with side characters who may have shared a single moment of connection. It should be noted that I will 'un-ship' a relationship that is developing if I feel their is insufficient merit (or 'moments') to support it - possibly with more fervour that a normal ship. I also ship friendships and 'moments' between characters.
